METAL-i wants venues for our venue listings (strangely enough!). If you are a venue that wants listed, let us help get bodies through your door - mail us with info and we'll get your place listed. Won't cost you anything after all. Free publicity? Don't get much more rock than that! If you're a rock-club regular and go some-where you think we should have up here in the listings, same as - give us a holler with the details. Check out our Contact page to get in touch. Too many clubs these days are closing. Help us get bodies thru their doors and keep 'em rocking!
Couple of new venues on the list this month, but we need more, and not just ones local to us! C'mon, drop us some details of your fave venues.
The Black Sheep Bar
68 High street, Croydon, CR0 1NA, UKThe Black Sheep Bar does nights to suit most tastes, not all metal mind you, and hosts live bands on a regular basis. It's where we most recently saw Silas and Snakebite. Their innovative door entry system requires you to register as a member (free) and you gain access with a thumbprint. Weird but cool and keeps the scum out. Modern and clean inside, good acoustics and plenty of room. Drinks are reasonably priced, and clientele are respectable.
Check out the site to see what they've got going on and when at:

THE BRIEF
George St, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 1PDFormerly known as "The Old Brief", The Brief underwent refurbishment in late 2006 and now hosts live bands on designated nights. The refurb brought in a top-notch PA system and a new atmosphere, as The Brief settles in to its new role in the heart of South London's rock and alternative scene with Peafish Promotions bringing 5 nights of live music a week to the venue. Nights range from Acoustic based acts right up to Punk and Metal and also cover everything in between. Friday and Saturday nights brings Peafish Pondlife the After Show Party from 11pm until 2am. Friday nights feature DJs Kelda and Joe with their own special brand of Dirty Indie Rock, while Saturdays have METAL-i's Myspace mate PJ da DJ (formerly of our LEGENDARY-rated old haunt The Cartoon) and Damian from Total Rock Radio on rotation.
We can't find a website, but there's lots of info about them and details on this link:

We've not been to The Brief since its refurbishment but we're planning a trip soon, so for now it's not rated. Given the array of quality DJs on the roster and the promotional team behind it, expect a good night all the same.Venue Rating: TBC
