SHATTERED ALLIANCE - Myspace review
We first heard of this UK-based band from their previous incarnation "The Voice". Well first up Shattered Alliance is a much better name for a band, you don't wanna be confused with Aled Jones after all ;)
Only 2 tracks available to judge them with on their Myspace page, but it's good quality chuggy metal with a groove. Carving a direction of their own here with diverse influences - Shattered Alliance could be called a truly international band, with members drawn from South Africa, Poland, and their current base in London. Both tracks, "Six Feet Under" and "Night Stalker", demonstrate a throbbing blend of complex riffs, hooks and passionate vocals.
In a scene where there are too many sheep and not enough wolves, these guys are definitely the latter, tearing up the woolly copycats and defining their own style and direction. Definitely wanna hear more from Shattered Alliance.
