BREED - Myspace review
These West Midlands guys hit a brand of thrash-funk all of their own, blending the best elements of Soulfly with Faith No More, a bit of Jane's Addiction too.
Word reaches us that despite their thunderous sound, they proved their sense of humour at a gig supporting Kill II This, amongst others, by doing a note-perfect version of Britney's "Hit Me Baby One More Time".
They sound better than many signed bands from this genre we've heard lately, and those funked-up nod-inducing beats, riffs and vocals can't be denied. Unlike most bands these days on Myspace who go "our music! gerroff!" you can
actually download Breed's 4 tracks on Myspace, which we suggest you do, and play to more people, and convert them to the cause. Always good to see a Brit band that's good, always a bonus when they're this good. Despite the slightly rough sounding quality of the recordings, you'll be left wanting more. We'll keep an eye on this one.
